The Glarity Team
Introducing the Glarity Media Store Production Team
*drum roll please*
Mr. W.R. Alex Poythress
Vice President/Designer
Alex is a co-founder of Glarity, history buff, decorated Eagle Scout, and lover (of Jesus, that is). He is generally known as a die-hard advocate of truth without compromise or pretense. Alex wants to learn how to sing so he can play the Phantom in “The Phantom of the Opera,” and the song line that best describes his life is “[he’s] not crazy, just a little unwell.” If he could obliterate Ctrl-Z from the universe, he would.
Mr. David Daniel Boskovic
Chief Technical Officer/Designer
David’s co-workers think he’s a super-amazing coder, probably good enough for the CIA. But we may never find out, because David has no secret-agent plans – at least, none that he is admitting to. He insists he would rather sweep a fair young maiden off her feet and live happily ever after. In between programming state-of-the-art websites and singing his favorite song (“Happy Trails to You”), he milks the cows, reads really good books, and serves as resident morale-booster for the Glarity team.
Miss Evangeline “Evie” Ellen Schmitt
Executive Board Assistant
Evie is a shameless pastry snob and cupcake critic who wants to be either an opera star, an astronaut, or a daisy when she grows up. She loves to give random hugs, ask questions, drink hot Chai, and own castles (though that last one hasn’t happened yet). A self-declared Cmd-Z girl in a Ctrl-Z world, she holds Glarity together by doing a little bit of everyone else’s job – and most of her own.
Mr. Jacob “Jake” Adam Smith
Programmer
Jake’s favorite people are his boss, his mom, and J. R. R. Tolkein (probably not in that order). In between his work in the US Army National Guard, he is content with being an amazing web coder and music guru, but his secret life-long dream is to be a gymnast. If he could live off of any food for the rest of his life, it would be asiago cheese bagels with cream cheese – with a glass of orange juice on the side. His goals are to conquer Microsoft Internet Explorer and become supremely muscular.
Mr. Joel Sargent
Network Engineer
Joel is tall, brown haired, happily married, and one of the fastest learners-of-all-things-computer on the planet. He also doesn’t like working in the cold (e.g., the Glarity Server Room - which is where he usually gets assigned). He used to be staunchly PC, but was recently converted to Mac (with Windows installed). Also, he’s majorly security conscious, to the point of suggesting armed guards for the Glarity servers. So don’t even try it, buster.
Mr. Michael Roth Poythress
President CEO/Lead Editor/Designer
Michael co-founded Glarity with a few other people, and it pretty much consumes his life – well, that along with consulting work, seven younger siblings, and occasional attempts to piece together a social life. An evangelical Mac lover and former gymnast, he also enjoys cranberries and lines from The Emperor’s New Groove. Michael relaxes by engaging in extreme sports and flying planes (he earned his pilot’s license before his driver’s license). He attributes his success in business to his mom, his semi-strange last name, and God.
